Spring Assisted Knives.....these are not switchblade knives.... they do open fast.....just not quite as fast as a Real Switchblade or automatic knife. They have a spring loaded inside to "assist" once the blade is manually opened, quite popular with those not looking for a switchblade, they do open very well & quick....& are probably the next best thing to a real automatic knife.
