The Offset provides the same strength and durability that Kershaw customers have come to expect, but with the new MIM technology and a unique Ken Onion design, it blows the competition out of the water! Metal Injection Molding (MIM) is the latest technology in blade craftsmanship, and when utilized with hot isostatic pressing the result is the Offset's exceptional 440C stainless steel blade. This technique begins with a blade mold which is filled with a combination of powdered metal and binder. The blade is then sintered to remove the binder and reduce the blade's size by 20%, leaving it at a 94% density. Then the blade is HIPed under extreme pressure to finish it off at a 99.7% density.
